[WELL Lab] PBC-2800 Light Chemical Suit: Applications and Limitations

Many buyers focus only on "is it chemical resistant?" and ignore the match between protection level and the actual job. WELL Protection's PBC-2800 is clearly positioned as a light chemical suit — right for medium-low risk, when used in the right scenario.
1. Key Specs
- Fabric: PE-coated, 65g
- Color: high-visibility yellow
- Seams: bound or taped options
- Certification: EN Type 4 (spray) / Type 5 (dust) / Type 6 (light splash)
- Accessories: matching sleeves, aprons, boot covers
2. Applications
- Low-pressure spray painting.
- Low-concentration chemical splashes (dilute acids/alkalis, disinfectants).
- Pesticide spraying in agriculture.
- Initial hazardous waste sorting.
3. Limitations You Must Know
- Not for prolonged contact with concentrated acids/alkalis (e.g. 98% sulfuric) — use PBC-3500.
- Not for solvent immersion (e.g. solvent wash tanks) — solvents penetrate the PE coating.
- Bound seams are not fully sealed: pressurized jet work requires taped seams or Type 3 level.
- Single-use principle: decontaminate by discarding as hazardous waste, never reuse.
